Readings is a video installation including five television style parts. In two parts Rwandan nurse and Senegalese teacher living in Paris are telling their impression on the artist’s book I Say. On the second two parts they are reading out loud a part of the book. In the fifth part Rwandan nurse spends time in the international garden of Paris. In this part we hear only the sounds of the park.

The installation deals with issues of interpretation, verbalization and identities.

The piece refers to spoken word format artist’s book telling a story of Gambian guest worker in West and North Africa.
